Tom was born and raised in Boise, ID. After graduating from Bishop Kelly High School in 2002, he attended the University of Idaho from 2002 to 2007 where he received his bachelor degree in business with majors in both accounting and finance. Shortly after graduation, Tom returned to Boise and began working in the corporate tax department for a Fortune 500 company.
While working in corporate tax, Tom successfully passed the Certified Public Accountant exam in October of 2008 and was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Idaho on January 1, 2009 and then went on to receive his Masters in Accountancy with Emphasis in Taxation (MSAT) from Boise State University.. Tom is a member of the Idaho Society of Certified Public Accountants (ISCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Tom started his own firm shortly after graduation while still working full-time in corporate tax. The first year was spent helping his family, friends, and a few others. By the third year, his firm had grown, mostly through referrals, which was a testament to Tom’s commitment to customer service.
In August of 2011, Tom decided to focus all of his attention towards his firm and his passion of working with clients on a daily basis. With almost 5 years experience in corporate state and local tax, 5 years experience in federal and state income tax preparation, QuickBooks implementations, audit defense and business consulting, Tom brings a great deal of experience and value to any business or individual.
When he’s not working with his clients, Tom enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Megan, their daughter Lucy and yellow Lab Harper in the mountains skiing, on the lake, or on the golf course.
